Hereford B&B with Upholstery on the side
Huntlands Farm is a fantastic working-farm B&B where you can also learn how to upholster or bring your own furniture to get it repaired while you stay. Either way it’s a route back to nature and traditional crafts.
Huntlands Farm is a family-run working 421-acre property on the Herefordshire/Worcestershire border, a fifteenth-century manor house and a separate Georgian-fronted farmhouse, both of which have been beautifully restored. One of your hosts is an excellent cook while the other an accomplished upholsterer: both have the gift of making guests feel welcome.
There are six guest bedrooms, all individually furnished to a very high standard. Two are superking with en suite bathrooms; two are superkings with en suite shower rooms; one is a superking with a private shower room across the landing and the last room is a double room downstairs with private shower room next door. All are comprehensively equipped, with hospitality trays with silent fridges for fresh milk in the morning, fine linens and fluffy towels, with Bramley toiletries in the bathrooms. Wifi is free, naturally.
There are animals on every side here; Huntlands has a few sheep, hens, geese, and piglets, not to mention Walter the donkey and Gordon a mini shetland. The wider farm runs small herds of pedigree cattle.
Huntlands B&B suggests
Huntlands Farm runs regular uphostery workshops and you can also bring your own furniture to be restored. Alternatively you can book a head or body massage, reflexology session or aromatherapy with a visiting therapist: get in touch for further details. Evening meals and packed lunches can be provided if required: all in all it’s a remarkably versatile place to stay.

Huntlands Farm is just outside the town of Bromyard between Hereford and Worcester on the edge of the Malvern Hills AONB. Five minutes west along the A44 reaches the National Trust's Brockhampton Estate. This traditionally farmed estate and medieval manor house gives a real insight into our shared heritage. Twelve miles east reaches Worcester, with its medieval cathedral, timber-framed buildings and independent shops and restaurants. Though evening meals are available here by arrangement there are many local pubs and restaurants in the immediate area.
