A racing certainty you’ll enjoy your stay
Alcott Farm is a five-bedroom Bed and Breakfast and a self-contained cottage that is also a working farm and livery yard. You share the 65 acres of rural Worcestershire with competition horses and a scatter of beef cattle,: it’s rural bliss – with stables.
The bed and breakfast accommodation is in the family home. There are four bedrooms, two doubles and two twins, all ensuite: one is on the ground floor but unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible. There’s also a single bedroom that has to make do with a private bathroom just across the corridor. All rooms have televisions and tea and coffee-making facilities, and there’s wifi throughout.
Horses wake early and so does Alcott Farm. Breakfast is served from 7am, with a selection of cereals and full English breakfasts cooked to order: vegetarian options are always on offer and special diets can be catered for.
To say there’s plenty of parking would be an understatement. There’s room for horse transporters so the average car hardly presents a challenge. Security is assured: as a working livery all cars are bathed in CCTV 24 hours a day. There are horses around so small children aren’t helpful: they’re welcome when aged ten or over. Dogs, likewise, need to be kept on a lead.
There’s further accommodation in a self-contained cotttage. This has a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, a sitting room with sofa and TV and a large ensuite bedroom with a double bed. This too has wifi throughout and is normally let by the week but may be available for shorter periods.
Alcott Farm also hosts weddings and events in a range of teepees, yurts and marquees. These are on the other side of the fishing lakes so are unlikely to impinge on your stay.
Alcott Farm B&B suggests:
Cast a line over one of Alcott Farm’s well-stocked fishing lakes. Outsiders pay to fish here but it’s all included for residents. Pick your lake, relax and idle away a few hours or days.
