Wolsey Lodges B&Bs bring you Cumbria, including the Eden Valley, the North Pennines, the Furness Peninsula, and a small part of the Yorkshire Dales. But Cumbria is probably best known for having the Lake District National Park at it’s heart.

Wolsey Lodges family run bed and breakfasts offer both luxury guest accommodation and home cooked breakfasts, using locally sourced produce.  Many of the lodges are dog friendly and offer family friendly accommodation in historic Halls and beautifully appointed country houses with gardens to make even the most dedicated green fingered gardener jealous. Free parking is ample and for those wishing to explore by foot there is certainly plenty to see.

These are wonderful bases from which to explore the area, whether it be taking in the stunning views from the top of the Pennines, walking in the steps of Beatrix Potter or cruising Lake Windermere – you can be sure there is something to take your breath away in this beautiful county.

History buffs will not be disappointed, there are some wonderful stately homes, like Levens Hall in Kendal or Holker Hall and Gardens, no less than fifteen castles as well as industrial history at Honister Slate Mine. Hadrian’s Wall runs through the county and you can experience some of the most hauntingly beautiful scenery while walking the fells.
