Stirlingshire

Long acclaimed as one of the best places to live in the UK, Stirlingshire is a wild and rural county, much of which is taken up with Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park: this makes it a natural gateway for any number of outdoor adventures. It’s centred around the university town of Stirling, overlooked by a wonderful castle. Once a stronghold of Scottish royalty, the town can be seen as a sort of Edinburgh in miniature, a charming town that’s large enough to interest but small enough to care.
