Horseshoe Cottage FarmRoecliffe Road, Cropston, Leicestershire, LE7 7HQ, England
A warm welcome awaits you in rural Leicestershire …
Having been renovated to an incredibly high standard, Horseshoe Cottage Farm is a truly wonderful luxury bed and breakfast; one that has won multiple awards over the years and is thoroughly eco-friendly. Traditional antique furniture graces the interior, as well as the three, pretty, en-suite guest bedrooms, that are individually decorated with quality fabrics and furnishings. These lovely farmhouse bedrooms are a haven of relaxation and the ground floor room is ideal for guests less able to climb stairs.
There is a large cottage garden, with herbaceous borders, topiary, azalea and heather beds alongside flourishing kitchen gardens, which supplies the fruit for jams, honey from Linda’s bees and an orchard where hens lay the eggs for breakfast.
The fields beyond are laced with footpaths and across the road is Bradgate Country Park, with herds of deer and the ruins of Lady Jane Grey’s family home – ideal for a stroll.
On arrival, Wolsey Lodge guests enjoy tea and delicious Aga-baked scones or homemade cakes served on the terrace in summer or by the inglenook fireplace in the elegant drawing room. Flag stone floors and large oak beams in many rooms impart a sense of history in this lovely barn conversion.
