North Walls House43 North Street, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 1NF, England
A musical introduction to Chichester’s historic heart
A Bluthner grand piano sets the tone for a classical stay in West Sussex’s gentle capital. A great location within the city walls, plentiful parking and an eight-bedroom grade II* listed period property makes this a natural choice for your next visit to England’s southern coast.
This much-loved family home has a magnificent staircase and oriel window. The cellar dates back to the reign of James the 1st, but the bedrooms are classically furnished to match its Georgian heritage. Comforts are assured, with excellent beds and wifi throughout. Accommodation is ultimately flexible and groups can be easily catered for, with an adjacent coach house set up for musical practice and performance.
Guests here aren’t limited to their bedrooms. The drawing room, with its grand piano, is an elegant space to relax, with an open fire to blaze away the chill of cooler months. There are books, games and jigsaws to entertain every taste. And even though you’re in the heart of the city French windows lead down stone steps to a delightful walled garden, with mature trees, flower beds and extensive lawns.
