The finest taste of Dorset in the heart of Cranborne Chase

All Hallows is a spectacular Georgian Farmhouse B&B with a Listed Barn Conversion that’s also home to Southern England’s only AGA Approved Cooking School.

Accommodation is sublimely comfortable. There’s one B&B guest room in the main house: The Orchard Room. This used to be the master bedroom in what is a very substantial farmhouse and has a Superking bed and ensuite with separate shower. It’s beautifully furnished and has a second standard double bedroom attached for families or close friends who don’t mind sharing the bathroom. Guests here also have use of their own living room downstairs.

The adjoining Snows Barn has been beautifully converted to provide three further bedrooms. Two are ensuite while one has a private bathroom with a free-standing tub, with fittings by Burlington throughout. There is also a well-equipped kitchen and guest sitting/dining room. These are all on the ground floor, so easily accessible, and blend contemporary comforts and soaring beams. The barn as a whole is Grade II Listed, so everything has been done to the highest standard. Snows Barn is let in three ways. It can provide bespoke accommodation for cookery school guests, rented as a whole as a self-catering let (minimum stay three nights), or it can be offered as a two-night exclusive bed and breakfast package: this is popular with guests attending local events and weddings.

You wouldn’t want to miss an All Hallows breakfast. Your hostess here runs award-winning cooking courses and has a reputation to protect. Ingredients are fresh, AGA-cooked and delicious.

The grounds are superb. A wildflower garden fringes the River Allen, a beautiful chalk stream: fly fishing can be arranged. There’s also an orchard and paddock, a potager herb garden, formal lawns and a barnyard that’s well along the process of being rewilded. A spectacular moon gate gives on to a walled garden with herbaceous borders and David Austin roses. Cranborne Chase is registered as a National Landscape so there are walks galore, and at night it is also an International Dark Sky Reserve: to make the experience special star-gazing hampers can be arranged.

All Hallows B&B suggests:

Book yourself a place on the cooking school. It’s not just the only AGA Approved Cooking School in Southern England, it’s also won countless awards. The combination of luxury accommodation and refined cuisine is pretty much unique, and something to savour.

Location

All Hallows is within walking distance of St Giles House for weddings, events and estate 'pop up' bar. Knowlton Church is an English Heritage site and Kingston Lacy, run by  the National Trust, is nearby. For walkers the endless bridleways of the Hardy Way thread along All Hallows grounds. There's a local brewery and a vineyard in the area. Cranborne Chase is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - one step short of a National Park - but it's still within easy reach of a number of national attractions, including Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, the New Forest and the Jurassic Coast.
