Win a two-night stay at Johnby Hall

Win the Wolsey Lodges prize for December. This is a two-night stay for two at Johnby Hall, a restored Pele Tower with commanding views across the Cumbrian countryside.

Accommodation is in a  guest suite, known since time immemorial as Kelly Cottage. Though part of the main building, in many ways it’s private and self-contained: there’s a bedroom large enough to take two extra beds, a separate living room and a bathroom all to yourself. It even has its own fenced garden: ideal if you happen to be travelling with a dog.

Breakfasts are served in the Great Hall, rich with history and dotted with ancestral portraits. A range of special diets can be catered for and all ingredients are local – even the sausages are fresh from the farm. The grounds are a delight, with a walled orchard and shady woodland walks, with glorious views of the Pennines.
