Upper Crannel Farm Barn
Glastonbury, Somerset, BA6 9AD, EnglandThe Barn
Deeply futuristic but blending perfectly with its natural environment, this architect-designed refuge is set on a 200-acre pasture, with stunning views of Glastonbury Tor, a three-mile walk among sheep-filled fields. Panoramic windows welcome the outside world into each and every room, filling the interior with natural light and making the most of a beautifully tasteful decor.
There are two double guest bedrooms, spacious and cosy due to underfloor heating, comfortably furnished with the finest linens. There’s wifi throughout and all modern comforts, the furnishings are period, with original works of art on the walls, antique furniture, rugs on floors and interesting artefacts on display. It’s ideal for couples or a family and will accommodate four who are happy to share the bathroom.
The fully-appointed kitchen, with sofas and a generous cooking space. There’s also a comfortable sitting room with a wood-burning stove, backing up the very efficient underfloor heating and providing a focal point to this very cosy room. There’s wifi throughout and a TV.
The farm is a working farm and so you will see sheep and our farmer Issac at work.
The main house may have owner guests in situ.

Location
Glastonbury Tor and Glastonbury Abbey are three miles walk away across the fields. The cathedral city of Wells is five miles, with its stunning church buildings, restaurants and idiosyncratic shops. The archaeological site of the Lake Village People, dating back to 2000BC, is half a mile away and the ancient royal capital of Somerset, Somerton, is 20 minutes away by car. The area is filled with attractions but here you're in an unbelievably quiet haven, a completely rural refuge in the heart of the English countryside, under the enigmatic gaze of Glastonbury Tor.
