The Old Vicarage – Vicarage Cottage & The Coach House
Norton, Presteigne, Radnorshire, Powys, LD8 2EN, WalesTwo romantic cottages in the heart of the Welsh marches
Vicarage Cottage and The Old Vicarage Coach House are two separate one-bedroom properties offering self-contained accommodation in The Old Vicarage’s grounds. The Coach House is approached through a cobbled courtyard, adjacent to the main B&B, while Vicarage Cottage is hidden away in the lower gardens, with a small private garden all of its own. Both are charming period buildings, furnished with country antiques, and of a character rarely found in rental properties. Both are delightful, luxury cottages, and in a perfect location to explore the sights of this beautiful region.
The Coach House has been lovingly converted to luxury accommodation. The large sitting/dining room with a balcony is on the first floor, giving far-reaching views across the Radnorshire Hills. The open plan kitchen is compact but well-equipped. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with a charming with a brass half tester bed. The en-suite bathroom has a shower over the tub, giving guests the choice.
Vicarage Cottage is a wisteria-clad, half-timbered cottage, a paradise of exposed beams and period features. The living room, with rugs and quarry tiled floor, has an inglenook fireplace and a Victorian coal-fired range. The well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen has a dining table and views over the fields. An ancient oak staircase winds up to a second sitting room and a double bedroom & bathroom with exposed beams and a lovely brass half-tester bed.
