The Old Manor House B&B, HalfordQueen Street, Halford, Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, CV36 5BT, England
Tudor luxury in the Warwickshire Cotswolds
This beautiful Warwickshire bed and breakfast exudes character and style. Most of the Old Manor House B&B dates back to 1550, and history lives on in the exposed beams and period features. There’s a large drawing room for the exclusive use of guests, where antique furnishings and modern works of art sit comfortably together; warmed in the winter by an open log fire.
There are three guest bedrooms here, all beautifully equipped with comfortable beds, luxurious cotton linens, Ila-Spa bath products and bathrobes provided. The Underhill Room is a double, the Beecham can be a single or twin, and the Rowley can be a kingsize or a twin, with the option of a further single bedroom that can be booked to accommodate one more. All rooms have private bathrooms with baths and showers.
Guests here are free to use the spacious living room as well as the dining room (where breakfast is served). When the weather permits the grounds are a delight. Three acres of landscaped gardens – including a gazebo and a tennis court – slope down to the River Stour. The peace and tranquility is perfectly enjoyed from the terrace, where – in the summer months – afternoon tea is served.
