A Skye-high retreat in the Hebrides
Greenwood Cottage is a delightful B&B sleeping just two guests on the Island of Skye. It is a peaceful, rural retreat – your only neighbours are sheep -with sweeping mountain views. It’s also conveniently located, set midway between Skye Bridge and the ferry port at Armadale.
The property is perfectly arranged for a comfortable and relaxing stay. There is only one guest bedroom and that’s on the ground floor, enjoying a thoroughly modern en-suite, walk-in rain shower and a large, comfortably furnished sitting room with panoramic windows and a cosy wood-burning stove. Step outside and enjoy the lovely sunny terrace with views of Blaven and the Cuillins or across to Ben Sgriteall, on the mainland. The air is full of the cries of buzzards and occasionally, eagles, and there’s a loch of your own just a short walk away.
In many ways it’s the welcome you get that makes Greenwood Cottage so special. From scones on arrival, to the delicious breakfasts of locally-sourced ingredients that set you up and ready to explore the grandeur and isolated beauty of the Island of Skye.
